Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machine Tool Engineer to join our growing team in Dubai. This pivotal role involves the complete lifecycle management of sophisticated machine tools, from initial preparation and commissioning to on-site installation and comprehensive technical support for our clients across the GCC region. The successful candidate will be a technical expert in both conventional and CNC machine tools with a strong diagnostic ability.
Key Responsibilities
- Commissioning: Perform thorough commissioning of new machine tools, ensuring all systems are fully operational and meet manufacturer specifications and client requirements.
- Preparation: Prepare machine tools for dispatch, including pre-installation checks.
- Installation: Lead and execute the on-site installation of machine tools at client facilities across various industries within the GCC countries. This includes mechanical and electrical.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues related to machine tool operation, performance, and breakdowns. Conduct preventative maintenance as required.
- Technical Support & Training: Provide expert technical support to clients, offering guidance and training on machine operation, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all commissioning, installation, maintenance, and repair activities, including detailed reports and service logs.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted technical advisor and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Travel: Be prepared for extensive travel to client sites throughout the GCC region (e.g., Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman) as required for projects.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine tooltechnology and contribute to the continuous improvement of our service offerings.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in the commissioning, installation, and servicing of machine tools such as Lathes, Milling Machines, Drilling Machines, Boring Machines and CNC machines.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in machine tools.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with machine tool control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain)
- Knowledge of precision measurement tools and calibration techniques.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Arabic language skills are a significant advantage and the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe for the compiling of reports essential.

- Independence & Adaptability: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to varying work environments and client demands across different countries.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness and ability to travel extensively across GCC countries, often at short notice.
