Maintenance

SUMMARY

To perform routine and extensive range of work in the repair and general maintenance of facilities, buildings, and equipment under general supervision. They execute work within established procedures and process under both verbal and written instructions. Mechanical, Electrical and Welding Experience is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performing repair or general Maintenance work of facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment at various sites including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks.
• Mechanical, Electrical and Welding Experience is required.
• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
• Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.

SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS

• Ability to use efficiently various power and hand tools.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Should follow oral or written instructions.
• Communicate efficiently and fluently in both written and oral form.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
• Observe OSHA, state, federal, and company regulations or policies.

OTHER DUTIES

The maintenance worker will uphold cooperative policies and perform other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Degree or high school education in any field from an accredited college
• Mechanical, Electrical and Welding Experience is required

• Climb ladders
• Shovel grain
• Sweeping
• Standing for long periods of time
• Lifting and bending
• Loading and unloading trucks

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Hot and cold climates
• Dusty environment
• Heights
• Enclosed areas
