Position summary
The Maintenance Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. This position is responsible for scheduling and tracking preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors, and maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards, and managing spare parts inventory. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced industrial environment and a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and production systems.
Essential functions
Plan and coordinate preventative maintenance activities.
Receive, prioritize, and assign work order requests.
Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts.
Submit purchase requisitions for supplies and parts.
Maintain accurate maintenance records including inspections, manuals, and other applicable records.
Coordinate vendor visits for repairs and inspections.
Assist with developing maintenance plans for turnaround events and new equipment installations.
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Required skills/abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Proficient with CMMS software.
Ability to work independently and follow directions accurately.
Ability to shift directions quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to operate a forklift and other mobile equipment.
Ability to safely move in and through work areas, including climbing stairs, maintaining good balance, being mentally alert, having good visual acuity and safety working at heights.
Position will typically work weekdays, but needs flexibility to work occasional weekends and nights as requested. Ability to work overtime as needed.
Education/experience
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
2+ years of experience in maintenance coordination or a related field required.

Physical requirements and work environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high places, airborne particles, chemicals, and temperature ranges. The noise environment in the work environment is usually loud.
Employees are required to wear PPE which may include hard hat, safety toe shoes/boots, gloves, safety glasses/goggles, hearing protection and respiratory protection. The employee needs the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
