Maintenance Technician
Position Title: Maintenance Technician
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Experience: 2–3 years (manufacturing / process industry preferred)
Role Purpose
To ensure uninterrupted plant operation by carrying out daily preventive maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and support for utilities (DG, panels, motors, drives, compressors, boilers etc.).
Required Qualification
- ITI / Diploma – Electrical
- Hands-on industrial maintenance exposure (mandatory)
Key Responsibilities
Daily Maintenance & Monitoring
- Perform daily preventive maintenance checks across production lines and utilities.
- Take and record EV/Energy readings; update log sheets and MIS.
- Inspect MCC panels, DBs, cabling, earthing, and lighting circuits.
- Check diesel generator: fuel level, oil level, battery health, load sharing.
Breakdown & Troubleshooting
- Attend electrical breakdowns and restore equipment safely.
- Diagnose motor faults (overheating, tripping, bearing noise, winding).
- Troubleshoot VFDs, relays, contactors, timers, and control circuits.
Scheduled Maintenance
- Execute PM schedules (weekly / monthly / quarterly).
- Support annual shutdown maintenance activities.
Material & Spares
- Maintain minimum stock for spares (fuses, relays, bearings, cables).
- Raise material requirements and follow up with stores/purchase.
Safety
- Strictly follow LOTO procedures.
- Maintain housekeeping in panel rooms and maintenance workshop.
- Support electrical safety audits and compliance.
Skills Required
- Strong electrical troubleshooting capability
- Basic PLC/VFD exposure preferred
- Ability to read electrical drawings
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards
