Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join a Manufacturing Company based in Sherburn in Elmet on a Monday to Friday three shift pattern 6-2/ 2-10 /10-6.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems across our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of all electrical equipment and infrastructure. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment throughout the site.
- Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing devices and rectify issues promptly.
- Install, modify, and upgrade electrical wiring, fixtures, and control systems in accordance with current regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and company policies.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of preventative maintenance programmes.
- Respond swiftly to emergency breakdowns to restore operational functionality.
Skills
- Proven experience working with hand tools and power tools for electrical tasks.
- Strong electrical experience with a thorough understanding of wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently and safely.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and other departments.
