Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems across our facilities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in electrical work and hands-on experience with various tools. The Maintenance Electrician will play a vital part in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our operational infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing devices and implement effective repairs promptly.
- Install, modify, and upgrade electrical wiring, panels, motors, and other related components in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
- Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) in line with current regulations.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during maintenance tasks.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used for future reference.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to coordinate complex repair projects.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies at all times during work activities.
- Assist in the development of preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrician within an industrial or commercial environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuitry, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and multimeters.
- Experience working with power tools including drills, saws, and grinders.
- Electrical qualification(s) recognised by relevant industry bodies (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Must be qualified and competent to carry out EICR testing and certification.
- Must be registered with a recognised body such as NICEIC or NAPIT.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: £160.00-£170.00 per day
