Maintenance Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of:
• Conventional lathe machines
• Milling machines
• Drilling machines
• Hoists, cranes, and lifting equipment
• Inspect mechanical components such as:
• Bearings, gears, lead screws, guideways
• Belts, couplings, pulleys
• Perform lubrication, alignment, leveling, and calibration of machines.

2. Electrical & Control Systems (Basic)

• Troubleshoot basic electrical issues in motors, limit switches, push buttons, and panels.
• Coordinate with electrical team/vendors for major electrical faults.

3. Hoist & Lifting Equipment Maintenance

• Inspect hoists for:
• Wire ropes / chains
• Brakes, hooks, limit switches
• Ensure compliance with safety norms and load limits.
• Maintain inspection and test records as per statutory requirements.

4. Breakdown Handling

• Attend machine breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
• Identify root cause and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Support production during critical operations.

5. Preventive Maintenance Planning

• Prepare and follow PM schedules for all machines.
• Maintain maintenance logs, checklists, and history cards.
• Monitor machine condition and recommend overhauls when required.

6. Spares & Vendor Coordination

• Identify critical spares and raise indent/requisition.
• Coordinate with external service providers and OEMs.
• Ensure proper installation and commissioning after repairs.

7. Safety & Housekeeping

• Follow safety procedures, lock-out/tag-out practices.
• Ensure machines are safe to operate before handover.
• Support audits (internal, safety, statutory).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,915.44 - ₹40,000.00 per month
