Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

The Holiday Inn Express is looking for someone to oversee the maintenance operations at the hotel as the Maintenance Engineer. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the physical structure of the Hotel and its furnishings. This includes electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, pool/spa, irrigation and other equipment to ensure smooth operation of hotel. Inspect and adjust all systems daily and respond to life systems alarms. Respond to maintenance work orders and guest requests to ensure guests receive quality service and furnishings. We also want you to have FUN at work and have an open mind to new ideas. Prior hotel/property maintenance experience is preferred.

Position Requisites:

• Considerable knowledge of engineering policies, procedures, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, electrical and energy management systems.
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Previous experience in a hotel, commercial building or building maintenance organization
• Ability to work in a typical maintenance atmosphere requiring heavy lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize well to meet deadlines
• Behaves with integrity, honesty and is open with guests and fellow associates
• Develops effective working relationship with fellow associates, managers, and vendors

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $27.00 per hour
