- Supervise day-to-day maintenance activities of hospital infrastructure, medical equipment (non-clinical), electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of critical services like electricity, water supply, air conditioning, lifts, and fire safety systems.
- Carry out preventive maintenance schedules for hospital equipment and facilities.
- Coordinate with biomedical engineers for repair and upkeep of medical equipment.
- Monitor performance and maintenance logs of DG sets, chillers, boilers, and other utilities.
- Attend and resolve maintenance complaints from hospital staff promptly.
- Ensure availability of spare parts, tools, and consumables for smooth operations.
- Supervise vendors, contractors, and service providers for AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts).
- Maintain compliance with hospital safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of wards, ICUs, operation theatres, and other critical areas for facility upkeep.
- Respond immediately to breakdowns, emergencies, or safety hazards within the hospital premises.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of maintenance activities, contracts, and inventory.
- Ensure fire-fighting and safety equipment are functional and inspected periodically.
- Coordinate renovation, repair, and infrastructure development projects within the hospital.
- Support infection control measures by maintaining hygiene and functioning of utility systems.
- Ensure energy conservation by monitoring electricity and water usage.
- Train housekeeping/technical support staff in safe handling of equipment.
- Liaise with administration and departments to minimize downtime and patient inconvenience.
- Implement SOPs for breakdown handling and maintenance request handling.
- Prepare periodic reports on maintenance activities, costs, and improvements.
