Key Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer

Equipment Maintenance
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Ensure machines operate efficiently with minimal downtime.
Fault Diagnosis & Repair
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
Identify root causes of failures and implement long-term solutions.
Preventive Maintenance Planning
Develop and follow scheduled maintenance plans.
Maintain maintenance records and equipment history.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
Promote safe working practices and conduct risk assessments.
Spare Parts & Inventory Management
Manage spare parts availability and coordinate with procurement.
Optimize inventory to reduce costs and avoid shortages.
Continuous Improvement
Recommend equipment upgrades and process improvements.
Support reliability and energy-efficiency initiatives.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare maintenance reports, checklists, and technical documentation.
Analyze downtime data and maintenance KPIs.
Team & Vendor Coordination
Supervise technicians and contractors.
Liaise with equipment suppliers and service providers.
Installation & Commissioning
Assist in installing new equipment and commissioning systems.
Ensure proper handover and training for operators.
