Job Description

Safir Doha Hotel is looking for an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee all engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all facilities, equipment, and systems are maintained to the highest standards to support smooth hotel operations and provide a safe and comfortable environment for guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Engineering and Maintenance Department.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance programs for all hotel equipment and facilities.
• Ensure proper functioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety systems, and kitchen equipment.
• Supervise and lead the maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
• Coordinate repairs, renovations, and maintenance projects within the hotel.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, fire safety standards, and local authority requirements.
• Monitor maintenance budgets, control costs, and manage procurement of maintenance materials and equipment.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment servicing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance management.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience supervising a maintenance team.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to operational issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel or hospitality maintenance operations.
• Knowledge of safety compliance and fire life safety systems.
