ROLE SUMMARY
The Manager Maintenance is responsible for ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety of all panel processing machinery and supporting equipment within the furniture manufacturing plant. The role focuses on implementing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies to enhance asset utilization, reduce downtime, and support uninterrupted production operations.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
- Oversee and supervise daily maintenance operations across mechanical, electrical, and utility systems
- Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment failures
- Diagnose breakdowns and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues
- Ensure availability and proper management of spare parts inventory, including procurement coordination
- Maintain equipment performance through calibration, inspections, and adherence to safety standards
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal operational disruption
- Manage AMC vendors, service contracts, and warranty-related activities
- Train and guide engineers and technicians on troubleshooting, equipment handling, and emergency response
- Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and compliance documentation
- Coordinate with procurement for purchase or rental of maintenance tools, machinery, and material-handling equipment
- Support HR in recruitment and selection of maintenance personnel
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- 15–20 years of manufacturing/furniture environments
- Furniture manufacturing or woodworking industries experience mandatory
- Strong knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Expertise in breakdown analysis and root cause identification
- Proficiency in managing multi-disciplinary maintenance functions (mechanical, electrical, utilities)
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Effective planning, coordination, and vendor management skills
- Leadership and team supervision capabilities
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills
