The Maintenance Manager, described as the Senior Maintenance Leader, is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of the entire plant and its equipment, including printing and diecutting machinery. This role ensures optimal performance, minimal downtime, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. It involves strategic planning, team leadership, and hands-on technical support to maintain and enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Lead the maintenance of all plant infrastructure including HVAC, electrical systems, compressed air, water supply, and building facilities.
- Lead and manage the maintenance team, including technicians and engineers.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to align maintenance strategies with operational goals.
- Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized plant maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure proper maintenance of printing presses, diecutting machines, and auxiliary equipment.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Oversee installation, calibration, and upgrades of machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and procurement of tools and equipment.
- Optimize maintenance costs while improving equipment reliability and plant efficiency.
- Evaluate and recommend capital investments for plant upgrades.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of printing and diecutting machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team management skills.
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certification.
- Experience with PLCs, automation systems, and industrial controls.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and quality systems.
