Maintenance Mechanic

Summary :

Maintain and install equipment in support of the needs of Chemical Manufacturing. Must be able to apply knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and apply skills in restoring equipment to full operation.

Essential Functions :

Troubleshoot machinery to determine the problem root cause, and implement remedies as required. Help with fabricating, modifying and testing hardware from, rough sketches, and/or verbal instructions. Perform set-ups, repair and troubleshooting. Establish and implement PM programs on chemical plant and auxiliary equipment

Requirements:

Must have experience with mechanical, pneumatics and electrical troubleshooting, Ability to prioritize multiple projects / multi-task. Ability to work independently under direction of Plant Manger with minimal oversight, and safely use hand tools, chemicals and other manufacturing tools. Ability to work as part of Manufacturing team. Ability to work well under pressure.Demonstrate safe work habits and familiarity with PPE, SHE and Arc Flash safety. Ability to perform general metal working carpentry, plumbing and electrical related repair. Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs. Ability to use MS Office Word and Excel to help create work instructions.

Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Needed Skills:

Knowledge of high voltage electrical systems and motors, HVAC, welding and machining and forklift repair.

Certification in these areas is a plus.

Experience: >5 years in a manufacturing environment.

Pay: $22.00 - $33.00 per hour

• Welding: 1 year (Preferred)
