Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Maintenance Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic to join our farm operations team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of farm machinery, industrial equipment, and heavy-duty vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on farm machinery including tractors, balers, and other agricultural equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and mechanical knowledge.
• Repair and maintain heavy equipment such as excavators, boom lifts, rock crushers
• Conduct repairs on transmissions, hydraulic systems, suspension components, air brakes, and HVAC systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Fabricate parts or modifications using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet operational needs.
• Perform tire service, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements, brake repairs, and assembly of new equipment or components.
• Maintain detailed service records and logs of all repairs performed; interpret schematics for complex electrical or hydraulic systems.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment; support team efforts in equipment repair and maintenance projects.

Experience

• Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; capable of working with power tools confidently.
• Knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, HVAC systems and tire service.
• Ability to read schematics accurately; experience with automotive diagnostics is a plus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience related to farm machinery or industrial equipment.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
