Maintenance Team Lead

With an incredible portfolio of food & beverage products, NFPC currently has a fantastic opportunity for a talented Maintenance Team Leader to join our Engineering team.

JOB PURPOSE

The role holder will supervise a team of Maintenance Technicians, focusing on the effective execution of maintenance tasks to ensure efficiency and quality. The role involves developing and implementing a preventative maintenance plan to anticipate and prevent equipment failures, thereby maintaining and improving the overall reliability of equipment and facilities. Specifically, the scope of activities includes work with processing and packaging equipment such as Tetra Pak, Krones, Federal Fillers, and Gable Top lines. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement to optimize equipment and facility performance.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and schedule maintenance tasks for Tetra Pak processing equipment, including filling machines, sterilizers, packaging systems, Krones lines, federal fillers, and related components.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they impact production or quality.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, diagnose problems, and develop effective solutions to minimize equipment downtime and optimize performance.
• Assess spare parts usage patterns, lead times, criticality of components, and financial implications to avoid stockouts or excessive inventory.
• Implement and enforce proper equipment safety measures, including lockout/tagout procedures, guarding, and equipment inspections. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify and address any safety concerns.
• Maintain emergency response plans for maintenance-related incidents, such as equipment failures, chemical spills, or fires.
• Monitor the performance of maintenance technicians, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in Dairy/Beverage manufacturing
• Hands-on experience with Tetra Pak equipment and different types of PLCs, HMIs, Networks, and communication protocols
