Maintenance Technician
Key job responsibilities
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and scheduled maintenance to prevent equipment failures.
- Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues. This may involve disassembling equipment to replace defective parts, rewiring electrical systems, or fixing structural elements.
- Installation: Set up and install new equipment or machinery, ensuring correct and safe installation. This can involve reading and interpreting technical manuals and blueprints.
- Troubleshooting: Identify the root cause of equipment malfunctions or breakdowns. Use diagnostic tools and techniques to pinpoint problems and develop effective solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities. This includes logging parts used, time spent on repairs, and issues encountered to track equipment performance and plan future maintenance.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and protocols. This includes using proper protective equipment, following safety procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly. This requires quick thinking and immediate action to resolve issues that could disrupt operations.
- Collaboration: Work with other technicians, engineers, and managers to coordinate maintenance activities. Communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and spare parts. Order necessary parts and supplies to ensure they are available when needed.
- Training: Stay updated on the latest maintenance techniques, equipment, and technologies. Participate in ongoing training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge.
- Customer Service: Interact with facility occupants or equipment users to understand their concerns and address maintenance issues promptly and professionally.
- Valid UAE driving license
