Facilities Engineer

We are seeking a Facilities Engineer to join the Facilities Management division of one of our group subsidiaries. In this role, you will manage and oversee service providers responsible for the maintenance of our property assets. You will ensure that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems operate efficiently and reliably, in line with defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in MEP systems, with proven experience in coordinating and supervising maintenance operations—always with a focus on safety, quality, and sustainability.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage and oversee the service provider responsible for building maintenance, ensuring compliance with KPIs and SLAs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure that corrective actions are implemented as required.
  • Manage contracts with service providers to ensure agreed timelines and standards are met.
  • Provide technical and administrative support during the installation, testing, and commissioning of Facilities Management (FM) hard services.
  • Review maintenance work to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and standards; report on progress and raise any concerns.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of MEP and specialist systems, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Track and report on maintenance budgets, cost-efficiency initiatives, and energy-saving measures.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to verify that all building systems function efficiently and reliably.
  • Collaborate with the Property Management division on inspections to ensure service and quality standards are maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Oversee the service provider’s adherence to safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure smooth building operations.
  • Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Plan, schedule, and review operational activities related to FM hard services.
  • Manage staff, vendors, and supplies, while developing and implementing FM strategies, including CAPEX and sustainability initiatives.
  • Assess quotes, proposals, and drawings to ensure they cover the full scope of work.
  • Review completion reports and conduct on-site assessments.
  • Manage and supervise renovation and fit-out works, ensuring timely completion in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Property Management division on day-to-day operations and the rollout of new initiatives.


Experience, Education, and Skills:


  • Certified MEP Engineer or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Preferred certifications: CFM, ISO 41001.
  • Minimum of 6 to 8 years’ experience in facilities management, handling mixed portfolios (residential, commercial, retail, industrial), including high-rise projects.
  • Membership of an international facilities management body is desirable.
  • Strong skills in budget management, leadership, decision-making, and analytical thinking.
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001.
  • Experience in FM soft services is an advantage.
