Maintenance Technician

AUECC is looking for a maintenance technician to join our team! The Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot process/utility equipment and conduct daily preventive maintenance and repair. The position will work either Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Saturday.

Responsibilities

Assist Operations in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and instrumentation equipment to include cooling tower system, air compressors, chiller system, plant boiler system, UPW water equipment, waste water treatment system, chemical process areas, motors, pumps, fire suppression systems, PLC’s, lighting systems, and all other balance of plant auxiliary equipment.
Operate demineralizers, compressors, turbine components and all utilities. In guidance or assistance as directed by and in coordination with the Maintenance Manager.
Perform PM’s, PDM’s and repairs as necessary on all plant equipment and facilities.
Maintains equipment by tightening fittings, replacing valve packing, gaskets, valves, and gauges.
Cleaning, replacing, oiling, and lubricating other component parts and equipment as required.
Reads meters, gauges, or automatic devices to record data such as temperature of equipment, vibration of equipment, hours of operation, pressure, and fluid levels, water chemistry to verify operating conditions.
May operate heavy equipment such man-lift, scissor lift, arial lift, forklift, overhead cranes, and miscellaneous mobile equipment.

Qualifications

Strong troubleshooting skills
Electrical experience a plus
Experience with hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems a plus
3 years' maintenance experience
