Maintenance Technician

Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Schedule: Full time. On call rotation required including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support the daily maintenance and repair needs of a luxury apartment community. This role is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of the community while responding promptly to service requests and after hours emergencies.

The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in delivering a well maintained, clean, and safe living environment for residents while working closely with property management and fellow maintenance team members.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect assigned properties daily to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and preventative maintenance opportunities
Complete maintenance service requests accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines
Respond to after hours emergency maintenance calls as part of an on call rotation
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and lighting
Conduct new construction and turnover finish work including drywall repair, painting, trim, and general carpentry
Maintain exterior grounds including litter removal, debris cleanup, and overall curb appeal
Power wash buildings, sidewalks, and common areas as needed
Inspect and maintain common areas, building interiors, and exteriors
Communicate professionally with residents while providing excellent customer service
Work collaboratively with property management and maintenance teams
Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies
Ensure compliance with safety procedures, health regulations, and company standards
Accurately document work completed and update maintenance systems as required

Skills and Qualifications

Strong working knowledge of multifamily building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and general repairs
Ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions independently
Knowledge of safety practices, OSHA standards, and preventative maintenance procedures
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple properties
Comfortable using mobile devices, work order systems, and basic computer applications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to think critically and problem solve in emergency situations

Education and Certifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
Vocational or technical school training preferred
HVAC certification preferred
CPO certification preferred
Pool maintenance experience preferred
Professional maintenance certifications are a plus

Additional Requirements

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Ability to pass pre employment screening including criminal background check, credit check, and drug screening
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing, bending, and working outdoors in varying conditions
Availability for on call rotation including evenings, weekends, and holidays
