Maintenance Technician

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

High school Diploma or GED Certificate. (Documentation will be requested).

HVAC Certificate (Documentation will be requested).

3-5 years Knowledge of mathematics, air handling units, roof top units, chillers, boilers.

3-5 years Knowledge of HVAC trade industry, construction trade industry.

Must be computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Navajo Language is desirable.

Valid State Driver's License (subject to motor vehicle record review).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

Installation of HVAC Units, including electronic and mechanical components. Installation of HVAC ductwork including flexible tubing and metal construction..

Troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs various heating ventilation, and refrigeration systems in commercial buildings and industrial buildings.

Install or repair fuel and water supply lines.

Conserve, install and recycle CFC and HCFC (Chlorofluorocarbon family) refrigerants.

Install or repair electrical connections to HVAC components.

Assists construction crew in the field and assigns individual tasks for repairs and construction of buildings and facilities.

Interprets blueprints, works from sketches or verbal instruction.

Performa carpentry work on layout and installation of wooden partition, insulation, sheetrock, ceiling, plaster and painting,

Performs a variety of maintenance, repairs and services plant equipment, appliances and Office furniture including other systems (electrical, plumbing, and carpentry)

Ensures compliance with established standards of appearance, repair and condition of facilities.

Performs other duties as assigned.
