MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN F&B

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance

· Perform preventive maintenance on kitchen and coffee shop equipment such as espresso machines, coffee grinders, ovens, fryers, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, and blenders.

· Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues in kitchen and beverage equipment.

· Ensure proper functioning of cold storage units and refrigeration systems.

· Maintain exhaust hoods, ventilation systems, and grease traps in kitchen areas.

Facility Maintenance

· Conduct routine inspection of kitchen facilities, plumbing systems, lighting, and electrical systems.

· Perform minor repairs such as replacing switches, sockets, pipes, filters, and lighting fixtures.

· Ensure air conditioning and ventilation systems are operating efficiently.

· Operational Support

· Respond promptly to maintenance requests from cloud kitchen and coffee shop staff.

· Minimize equipment downtime to ensure uninterrupted food production and service.

· Coordinate with external service providers for specialized equipment servicing.

Safety & Compliance

· Ensure all maintenance work complies with food safety, health, and safety regulations.

· Follow proper procedures for handling electrical and mechanical repairs in food preparation areas.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools and work areas.

Documentation

· Maintain records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and service schedules.

· Monitor spare parts inventory and report equipment replacement needs.

Qualifications

· Technical diploma or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Maintenance Technology.

· Minimum 2–3 years experience in maintenance within restaurants, cloud kitchens, coffee shops, or hospitality environments.

· Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and beverage machines.

· Basic understanding of electrical systems, refrigeration, and plumbing.

Skills

· Equipment troubleshooting and repair

· Preventive maintenance planning

· Knowledge of kitchen and coffee equipment

· Time management and problem solving

· Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments

Working Conditions

· Work may involve exposure to heat, kitchen environments, and food production areas.

· travel between multiple cloud kitchen or coffee shop locations.

· Availability for emergency maintenance outside normal working hours when required.
