Maintenance Technician

Duties

• Conduct regular inspections of mechanical systems, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and electrical equipment to identify potential issues early.
• Perform repairs on appliances, refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, and other mechanical components to ensure continuous operation.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose problems accurately.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system conditions for future reference.
• Assist with construction or renovation projects by providing technical support and ensuring safety standards are met.
• Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during major maintenance or repair projects to ensure timely completion.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests or emergency situations to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical maintenance.
• Knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals necessary for troubleshooting complex systems.
• Hands-on experience with equipment repair, preventive maintenance, and system diagnostics.
• Familiarity with construction practices related to facility upgrades or installations is a plus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read technical drawings accurately.
• Leadership skills to guide team members or coordinate with external contractors effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
• Relevant certifications in HVAC/R or refrigeration are highly desirable; prior service technician experience is essential.
