Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, appliances, and other mechanical equipment to ensure continuous operation.
• Diagnose issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools; perform repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Repair or replace faulty components in air conditioning units, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration equipment, and household appliances.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems.
• Assist with construction or renovation projects related to facility upgrades or equipment installation.
• Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during major maintenance or repair projects when necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, and equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.
• Service technician experience with a focus on diagnosing problems quickly and implementing effective solutions.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and refrigeration technology.
• Ability to operate hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and power equipment safely and effectively.
• Leadership skills to guide team members or coordinate with external contractors during complex projects.
• Construction experience is a plus for understanding building infrastructure related to maintenance tasks.
