Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting restaurant equipment and facilities to ensure smooth daily operations. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, quick breakdown resolution, and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of restaurant equipment such as ovens, refrigerators, freezers, exhaust systems, dishwashers, and POS-related electrical fittings.
- Attend and resolve electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and basic civil maintenance issues.
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks to minimize equipment breakdowns.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to address urgent maintenance requirements.
- Ensure proper functioning of power supply, lighting, and backup systems.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, and repairs.
- Liaise with external vendors for specialized repairs and AMC follow-ups.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, fire safety, and electrical safety norms.
- Support outlet openings, closures, and renovation activities when required.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Hands-on experience with kitchen equipment used in restaurants.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues under time pressure.
- Basic computer or reporting skills preferred.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Experience:
- 2–5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a restaurant, hotel, QSR, or hospitality environment.
Education / Certification:
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Refrigeration & Air Conditioning preferred.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced restaurant operations.
- Requires flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- On-call support may be required for emergency breakdowns.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
