ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSE:
The Maintenance Technician II will maintain the integrity of the NHC sites and ensure that facilities are safe and well-functioning. This role will perform a variety of repairs and/or troubleshooting tasks under minimal supervision to complete assigned work orders. This position may be responsible for overseeing ongoing maintenance projects and providing guidance to the Maintenance Technician I as needed.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Replace light bulbs and tubes and repair/replace ballasts or fixtures.
Perform tasks to upkeep and maintain the appearance of the property from the exterior including cleaning, landscape, irrigation and painting.
Promptly utilize the facility’s SharePoint system and respond to, follow-up on, create, and complete requests.
Use tact and diplomacy in all interactions with customers.
Coordinate with departments and vendors; and act as liaison to departments.
May oversee staff or contractors in the repair and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure.
Promote a positive image by maintaining excellent internal and external customer relations.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, other employees, and the public using principles of good customer service.
Perform related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs/weight
Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and stand for long periods of time
Ability to climb ladders and lift/carry boxes, tools, equipment, and materials
Ability to wear and use proper safety items, such as goggles and gloves
Pay Range: $29.71 - $41.60 per hour, depending on experience
Compensation Disclosure: The posted salary range reflects the designated pay grade for this position. While this range represents the broader classification of the role, actual compensation will be based on several factors, including but not limited to: the candidate’s overall knowledge, skills, and experience, market data and industry benchmarks, internal equity within the organization, Budgetary considerations and organizational needs. As a result, placement within the range is not guaranteed, and the full pay grade range may not be utilized.
