We are currently seeking to employ a Maintenance Technician to join our exceptional team, providing services at our clients corporate offices in Milton Keynes. You will maintain the premises to a high level by undertaking electrical, mechanical, plumbing and fabric duties, including general handyperson works.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate your skills and experience in the following areas:

Electrical 18th Edition or Electrotechnical services

Degree-qualified (BEng/BSc or above) in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline

Experience using BMS and CAFM/CMMS systems
-
Mechanical NVQ /C&G in a mechanical /electrical/ventilation discipline
-
HETAS/BPEC/OFTEC certification
-
IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate
-
Permitting systems experience
-
EFAW Trained
-

This is a full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00, 40 hours per week, with flexibility required for out of hours overtime work at an annual salary of £44,400.00 which includes call out pay of £2,400.

Your responsibilities will include:

Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection (and associated electrical/controls interfaces where applicable).

Conduct regular inspections and performance assessments of mechanical equipment.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
-
Deliver PPM and reactive works, including structured fault finding and return-to-service activities.
-
Complete relevant testing and inspection activities and ensure results/certification are recorded in line with site procedures.

Support electrical controls tasks where required (e.g., wiring control panels and interfacing with BMS/controls contractors).
-
Coordinate or undertake installation of containment and cabling as required for minor works, ensuring workmanship and compliance.

Support site security and low-voltage systems where applicable (e.g., CCTV and access control installation/maintenance via approved procedures and vendors).

Diagnose faults and carry out or supervise repairs and replacements.
-
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
-
Monitor energy usage and recommend improvements for efficiency.

Support capital projects and refurbishments involving mechanical systems.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system performance, and compliance checks.

Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines.

Provide technical support and training to maintenance staff.
