Kahala Nui, considered Hawaii's premier Senior Living Community, is looking for a Maintenance Utility person to join our team!
The Maintenance Utility is responsible for assisting the Building Operations Department in the maintenance and repair of all grounds, buildings, apartment homes, and equipment. As a member of the first responder team, to assist in every way possible to ensure safety for the residents and fellow associates.
This position will be part of the general Maintenance Utility team. They handle the above listed tasks but will be the primary person focusing on interior and exterior painting projects (full surfaces and touch ups).
General hours for this position would 12:30PM to 9:00PM. Will need to work Saturdays and Sundays. Days off possibly might be split.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalency required.
- 3 years building maintenance experience with general knowledge in all facets of building maintenance.
- Must possess basic technical knowledge and mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment
- Must be able to work independently if not a multiple-person task.
- Painting experience preferred.
- Possess a basic knowledge of construction principles.
- Proof of annual tuberculosis clearance in accordance with state regulations.
- Must be available to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays.
(Equivalent experience or education may be substituted at the hiring manager’s discretion for educational or work experience requirements)
