Maintenance Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Worker/Repairman to join our property management team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and upkeep of our buildings, equipment, and systems. This position is part time, easy paced, and offers an excellent opportunity to apply your mechanical and troubleshooting skills while contributing to a team dedicated to excellence in facilities maintenance. Work is expected to be performed during working hours of 8am-4pm. Emergency work/repairs will be required on an as needed basis which could include weekends.

Duties

• Receive and complete maintenance requests/work orders.
• Perform repairs/maintenance in our apartment buildings and facilities.
• Conduct repairs involving plumbing leaks & light plumbing installation (toilets, faucets, shower valves), repair/replace electrical devices & fixtures (receptacles, switches, luminaire).
• Installation/fabrication of doors, replacement windows, cabinets, flooring.
• Picking up materials from suppliers.
• Painting & drywall repairs/resurfacing.
• Mowing small grounds, weed removal, basic landscape clean up.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Communicate effectively with team members.

Skills/Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic electrical/plumbing repairs & the ability to assess scope of work.
• Light carpentry, painting, drywall repair.
• Basic landscaping.
• Knowledge of residential painting techniques and basic carpentry skills for minor renovation tasks.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Own basic hand tools.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and document work clearly.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
