Purpose of Position:

To keep the entire facility, including interior and exterior, clean and well maintained. Implement

preventative maintenance to keep equipment and facilities running effectively.

Essential Functions (but not limited to):

1. Report any employee or guest injury.

2. Follow all company policies and procedures for safety and security.

3. Clean water troughs and outside lint screen of laundry room. Vacuums combustion

chamber of dryers.

4. Clean and change air conditioning filters on a regular basis.

5. Check and replace interior lights, emergency lights, and smoke alarm batteries on a regular

basis.

6. Maintain vacuum cleaners on a weekly basis.

7. If applicable Maintain swimming pool on a daily basis – checking chemical balance,

condition and cleanliness, temperature etc.

8. Clean and de-lime ice machine on a monthly basis.

9. Follow proper procedures for handling chemicals on the job.

10. Remove debris from parking lot and sweep canopy and entry areas. Pressure wash when

necessary. Check and replace exterior lights. Maintain landscaping of property.

11. Assist in keeping all public spaces clean.

12. Check exterior air conditioning grills on first floor for cleanliness.

13. Remove snow and ice from entrances and surrounding sidewalks.

14. Complete minor repairs as requested by the Housekeeping Department, Manager, and

maintenance slips. File accordingly and keep record of all guestroom repairs.

15. Receive and inspect supply shipments and place in the proper storage area. Maintain

awareness of all repair items requiring the attention of an outside service person.

16. Give responses to all visitors and guests in an effective, prompt manner.

17. Keep all mechanical areas in a neat and orderly condition compliant with local and federal

codes.

18. Know all equipment and systems in hotel, including but not limited to: washing machines,

lock systems, HVAC systems, pool, PTAC systems, etc.

19. Assist housekeeping department in all requested tasks, maintenance or non-maintenance

related.

20. Have working knowledge of washing, drying, folding, and storing laundry.

21. Have general knowledge of housekeeping procedures.

22. Performing preventative maintenance tasks and maintaining property logs and files.

Mandatory Job Requirements

1. Neat, well-groomed appearance

2. Wear company issued uniform.

3. Eye for detail.

4. Must have a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.

5. Some mechanical knowledge.

6. Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time, including the use of stairs.

7. Must be able to stoop, bend, and reach objects above head and below knees.

8. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., move, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less or

equal to ten pounds without assistance.

1. Follow all state and federal guidelines including OSHA Hazardous Communication Training.

2. Follow all brand standards.

3. Maintain high level of quality, service, and cleanliness.

4. Act on repair requests immediately and returns completed maintenance assignments as

outlined on maintenance calendar.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
