Maintenance Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Worker to join our team, dedicated to ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities and outdoor spaces. In this role, you will perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including landscaping, equipment repair, and general building upkeep. Your hands-on expertise will help create a welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike while maintaining the integrity of our property through diligent care and technical skill. • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC components.
• Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing lawns, trimming trees, pruning shrubs, and planting flowers to enhance outdoor aesthetics.
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for various construction, landscaping, and repair projects.
• Maintain irrigation systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure proper watering schedules for healthy plant growth.
• Execute snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for all users.
• Assist with hardscape projects including paving walkways, installing retaining walls, or other masonry work.
• Support tree care activities such as trimming or removal to promote safety and landscape health. Qualifications
• Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair or maintenance tasks.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment such as excavators or lawnmowers.
• Knowledge of horticulture principles, landscape maintenance practices, and gardening techniques.
• Experience in irrigation system installation or troubleshooting is preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions; capable of lifting heavy objects safely.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills related to maintenance issues.
• Prior experience in construction or hardscape work is a plus; certification in tree care or landscaping is advantageous.
