Maintenance Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Worker to join our team and ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and outdoor spaces. In this dynamic role, you will perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including landscaping, equipment repairs, and groundskeeping. Your expertise in mechanical systems, landscaping, and general maintenance will help create a safe, attractive, and functional environment for all staff and visitors. Duties

• Perform routine maintenance on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
• Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as mowing, lawn care, tree trimming, gardening, and planting to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment like excavators for construction projects, hardscape installation, or repair work.
• Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Carry out snow plowing during winter months to maintain safe pathways and parking areas.
• Maintain outdoor features including pathways, patios, retaining walls (hardscape), and other landscape elements.
• Support tree care activities such as pruning or removal to promote safety and aesthetics.
• Assist with general facility upkeep including light carpentry, painting, cleaning gutters, or replacing fixtures.
• Collaborate with team members on larger projects involving landscaping design or construction improvements.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in plumbing, electrical systems, or HVAC maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with lawn care, landscaping, gardening, and tree trimming techniques.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other construction or landscaping equipment safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and snow plowing operations is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with hardscape installation such as paving or retaining walls is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently.
• Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy objects when necessary.
