Maintenance Worker

Overview

For this role, general maintence work is required, as minor electrical, plumbing, painting, and taping & bedding. You will need to know generally how to operate power tools, and be familiar with remodeling work.

Duties

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, lawn care, tree trimming, landscape upkeep, and gardening to enhance curb appeal
• Operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently for repairs or landscaping projects
• Maintain hardscape features including pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures
• Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed
• Assist with snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access around the property
• Support tree care activities such as pruning and removal to promote healthy growth and safety
• Carry out general maintenance duties including minor repairs, painting, cleaning gutters, and replacing fixtures
• Must be able to tape and bed, paint, install flooring, and general construction

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in building maintenance or landscaping preferred
• Familiarity with lawn care, landscape maintenance, horticulture, and gardening practices
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, snow plows, excavators, and other construction equipment safely
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and tree care techniques is a plus
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety protocols
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges
• For this role the ideal applicant will have experience with general construction such as flooring install, tape and bedding, and painting on large scale.

Pay: $7.25 - $15.00 per hour

Experience:

• Maintenance: 5 years (Preferred)
• construction: 1 year (Required)
• Taping and bedding drywall: 1 year (Required)
