Duties

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on mechanical systems, irrigation setups, and landscaping equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, and landscape design enhancements to keep outdoor areas vibrant and inviting.
• Identify various plants and trees to ensure proper horticultural care; manage plant health through appropriate pruning, fertilizing, and pest control measures.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other machinery safely and efficiently for construction or landscaping projects.
• Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules; troubleshoot issues related to leaks or malfunctions.
• Carry out snow plowing, tree trimming, hardscape repairs, lawn care, and gardening activities to maintain year-round outdoor aesthetics.
• Assist with construction projects or repairs around the facility by utilizing construction experience and knowledge of safety standards.
• Implement pesticide management practices responsibly to protect plant health while ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Experience

• Proven experience in general maintenance or landscaping roles with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and horticulture practices.
• Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques including mowing, planting, pruning, and hardscape installation.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems operation, troubleshooting, and repair methods.
• Experience with tree care including trimming, planting, and disease management is preferred.
• Ability to operate various tools such as hand tools, power tools, excavators, and snow plowing equipment safely.
• Construction experience is a plus—especially in site preparation or minor building repairs.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to pesticide use, equipment operation, and general maintenance tasks.
