Apartment Maintenance Technician

Ashley Park Apartments is looking for a dependable, hardworking Maintenance Technician to join our team. We are seeking someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Whether you have maintenance experience or are a mechanically inclined individual looking to build a career in property maintenance, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a full-time, hands-on position responsible for helping maintain apartment homes, common areas, and the overall appearance of our community.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with preparing apartments for new residents, including repairs and cleaning.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliance repairs.
• Replace light fixtures, ballasts, switches, outlets, locks, and other hardware.
• Help maintain the grounds and common areas of the property.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and assist with larger repair projects.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls when necessary.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, construction, landscaping, automotive, or handyman experience is a plus, but not required.
• Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
• Dependable with excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Friendly and professional when interacting with residents.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work, including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday through Friday
• Occasional after-hours emergency calls may be required.

Pay

$13.00–$15.00 per hour, depending on experience.
