Male Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for an Accountant, preferably from Kerala (Malayalam speaking), with strong knowledge of construction and trading industry practices.

The role involves:

• Managing day-to-day financial transactions
• Project costing and material tracking
• Preparing and monitoring client billing
• Ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations
• Providing financial insights to support management in decision-making

Freshers with good accounting knowledge are also welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, and general accounts.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, supplier invoices, and customer billing.
• Prepare project-based cost reports, including material, labor, and overhead allocation.
• Monitor and reconcile advances, deposits, and retention amounts with clients and subcontractors.
• Oversee payroll processing for site and office employees.
• Manage bank reconciliations, cash flow, and petty cash accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Support budget preparation, variance analysis, and project profitability reviews.
• Ensure compliance with tax filings, VAT, WPS, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
• Recommend and implement process improvements for cost control and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum [X years] of accounting experience, preferably in construction/trading industry.
• Strong knowledge of project costing, billing, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Odoo, Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or equivalent).
• Advanced MS Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
• Excellent understanding of VAT, WPS, and local statutory requirements.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, New grad

Pay: QAR1,800.00 - QAR2,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 48 per week
