Job Summary:
The Plant HR Head is responsible for leading all human resources functions at the AAC Blocks manufacturing plant, ensuring alignment with business objectives. This includes workforce planning, recruitment, compliance, employee relations, performance management, training & development, and fostering a productive and compliant work culture at the plant.
Key Responsibilities:1. HR Strategy & Workforce Planning
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the plant’s operational goals.
- Plan manpower requirements and lead recruitment drives for all levels—staff, technicians, and workers.
- Coordinate with Corporate HR for talent deployment, succession planning, and organizational development.
2. Industrial Relations & Compliance
- Maintain harmonious industrial relations and manage union/worker relationships effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws (Factories Act, Contract Labor Act, etc.).
- Liaise with local authorities and labor departments as required.
- Handle disciplinary actions, grievances, and legal matters in collaboration with legal advisors.
3. Employee Engagement & Culture Building
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to improve morale, retention, and productivity.
- Implement welfare measures, health & safety programs, and feedback mechanisms.
- Promote a positive work culture based on transparency, performance, and inclusivity.
4. HR Operations & Administration
- Oversee time office management, payroll inputs, attendance systems, and HRMS accuracy.
- Monitor contract labor management, vendor compliance, and documentation.
- Maintain employee records, statutory registers, and ensure timely audits.
5. Learning & Development
- Identify skill gaps and coordinate technical training for workers and staff.
- Implement onboarding and continuous development programs to improve workforce competency.
- Promote cross-functional training and skill enhancement initiatives on the shop floor.
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent from a reputed institute.
- 8–15 years of experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing plant, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Prior experience in building materials, cement, AAC blocks, or similar heavy manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, factory compliance, and union handling.
