Manager Accounts Payable

About the Role

We are looking for a Manager Accounts Payables to lead and manage our accounts payable function. This role is responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and other disbursements. The position demands strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to drive process improvements while maintaining strong stakeholder and vendor relationships.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and other payables in line with company policies and accounting standards.
• Manage payment runs, optimize working capital by scheduling disbursements, and coordinate with treasury for cash flow planning.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, resolve disputes/reconciliations, and collaborate with procurement and other departments to streamline processes.
• Implement and monitor internal controls, ensure compliance with tax laws (WHT, GST), and support internal/external audits.
• Lead, coach, and develop the payables team while driving automation and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and governance.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• ACCA / ICMA / MBA (Finance)
• 7–8 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or finance functions
• Strong understanding of payables processes (invoices, payments, reconciliations)
• Good knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, IAS, Companies Act)
• Sound understanding of tax regulations (WHT, GST)
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
