Job Summary


As Manager - Cash Management Operations based in New Cairo, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and developing payment service products, positioning the processing centre as a key revenue generator within Standard Chartered Egypt. This role requires a strategic mindset to oversee departmental budgets, ensuring cost controls are implemented effectively, driving efficiency across various transaction processing activities.

Your responsibilities extend to safeguarding the financial integrity of operations by preventing revenue leakage and unauthorized debits to profit and loss accounts. You will provide exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders and will be instrumental in nurturing strong working relationships with key customers and support units. Expertise in advising large corporate clients, particularly in managing transfers to exchange-controlled countries, will be central to your duties.

The role also involves leading projects and contributing as an active participant when collaboration across the bank is required. Key Responsibilities


Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve the meticulous checking and processing of all transactions handled at the Central Processing Centre, ensuring authenticity and alignment with remitter instructions. You will manage and resolve internal account reconciliations and minimize unreconciled Nostro entries through timely escalations and corrections.

Meeting agreed service level agreements (SLAs) is critical, ensuring prompt turnaround times for transaction processing and timely resolution of enquiries and complaints. Maintaining a thorough understanding of CMO processing policies, CMS Group policies, and Bank procedures is required to ensure compliance and effective operations.

Additional duties include custodian responsibilities for Bank keys and bulk stock, providing supervisory backup, and guaranteeing that all cheques, including returned items and post-dated cheques, are accurately processed and reconciled to prevent revenue leakage.

You will implement strong controls around tariff applications to payments and collections to safeguard the Bank's revenue streams and produce detailed reports to aid in financial tracking and audit readiness.


The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong action orientation and collaboration skills, with a clear focus on customer centricity. Responsibilities require the ability to guide teams with clarity, manage ambiguity with confidence, and show leadership in developing talent. A strategic mindset combined with decision quality and courage to challenge is vital, alongside instilling trust internally and with clients. Technical proficiency relevant to banking operations and cash management is equally important.

Skills and Experience


  • Experienced professional in the banking sector or related financial services, with a focus on remittance processing and cheque clearing activities.
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong ownership of end-to-end processes and a proactive mindset towards improving service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Proven drive for achieving results while maintaining positive energy and optimism, essential for supporting business growth and delivering outstanding client service.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to manage a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to establish and nurture constructive working relationships with peers, clients, and business partners, fostering trust and collaboration.
  • Comfortable engaging directly with clients and business partners, with a demonstrated capacity for managing client interactions professionally.
  • Strong client focus, ensuring that services meet or exceed customer expectations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or Management degree from a recognised institution.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic languages is required to effectively communicate across diverse teams and client bases.
  • Previous experience in Cash management Operations handling payments, collections, RTGS, ACH processing.
