Manager Civil Design

Civil Design Manage r is responsible for delivering safe, complete, and optimized civil and structural designs for all capital projects within the agreed scope, budget, and timelines. The role ensures engineering excellence across concrete and steel structures, drainage systems, and site development works, while coordinating closely with multi-disciplinary teams to support constructability, compliance, and long-term asset integrity

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead complete civil and structural desi gn for capital projects, covering concrete structures, steel structures, foundations, and drainage systems, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and design basis.
2. Provide civil engineering suppo rt, driving design optimization, constructability, and value engineering through technically sound and cost-effective solutions.
3. Coordinate with Site tea ms, consultants, and contractors to close design issues and deliver integrated basic and detailed engineering.
4. Review project related concer ns in a timely, structured, and coordinated manner to support uninterrupted project execution.
5. Prepare and manage RF Qs for topographic surveys, geotechnical investigations, civil design consultants, and related engineering services.
6. Review consultant deliverables and technical proposa ls, perform technical and commercial comparisons, and support management approval and procurement decisions.
7. Provide construction supervision and engineering support (where require d), including site visits, to ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
8. Lead in-house civil desi gn in order to support Head of Design for small to medium-scale projects from concept development through detailed design.
9. Conduct structural integrity assessments, rehabilitation studies, and retrofitting evaluatio ns for existing civil and industrial structures.

Required Knowledge & Technical Expertise

• Strong civil and structural design skills including foundations, RCC, steel structures, drainage, and site development
• Working knowledge of international and local civil/structural design codes and standards

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Civil Enginee ring w ith 4~6 y ears of relevant experience in civil design, project engineering, and construction support roles
• Exposure to industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, or large infrastructure projects will be an advantage
