Job Purpose: The Manager of Community Outreach Services will lead and manage a team of community workers and counselors in conducting outreach programs and mental health camps. The role involves coordinating with donors, overseeing camp operations, and managing the day-to-day activities of the team while ensuring that patients receive high-quality counseling and care. This position will also include responsibility for reporting activities and outcomes related to community outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of community mobilizers and counselors in mental health camps.
- Coordinate with donors to ensure smooth implementation of outreach programs and secure funding for future initiatives.
- Oversee the logistics and management of community camps, ensuring they are well-equipped and effectively staffed.
- Provide direct counseling support to patients during camps, ensuring their emotional well-being is addressed.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure coordination in delivering community-based services.
- Prepare and present regular reports on camp activities, donor interactions, and patient progress.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation is in line with hospital policies and confidentiality standards.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss challenges, successes, and opportunities for improvement in community outreach efforts.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in community outreach or mental health services, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of mental health issues, counseling techniques, and community outreach models.
- Previous experience coordinating with donors, managing team operations, and organizing camps.
