Your future duties and responsibilities
Position Description:
We are seeking an experienced Test Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of test automation frameworks and strategies across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Robot Framework, Python scripting, and overall test architecture, driving automation excellence and quality assurance best practices. This role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery and continuous improvement of testing processes.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive testing strategies and automation frameworks using Robot Framework and Python.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA/test engineers (onshore and offshore) to ensure high performance and skill development.
- Coordinate and oversee testing efforts across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality goals.
- Define and monitor test metrics and KPIs to measure testing effectiveness and drive improvements.
- Collaborate with development, product, and project management teams to identify risks and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Design, implement, and optimize automated test suites for functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
- Manage testing tools, environments, and CI/CD pipeline integration for continuous testing and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards and regulatory requirements, if applicable.
- Provide clear and timely status reports, dashboards, and insights to stakeholders on test progress and quality metrics.
- Drive continuous improvements in testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and best practices.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or higher with minimum 5+ years of relevant experience.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong expertise in Robot Framework and hands-on experience developing test automation suites.
- Proficient in Python programming for test automation and framework development.
- Extensive experience in defining test strategies and architectures for large-scale software projects.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience managing and mentoring QA/test teams, including offshore coordination.
- Strong knowledge of test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Experience with both manual and automated testing techniques, including API, UI, and performance testing.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with other test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and testing in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Exposure to security testing and compliance standards.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and branching strategies.
- Prior experience working in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, etc.).
