Overview
The Digital Strategist develops and executes digital strategies that achieve measurable results for Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB). This role drives online engagement, ensures consistent messaging, and strengthens TAFB’s mission across web, social, email, and digital campaigns. The Digital Strategist collaborates with the Marketing Director, Graphic Design Manager, and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated digital experiences that grow awareness, increase engagement, and inspire action from neighbors, donors, volunteers, and advocates.
Essential Responsibilities

Develop and execute digital strategies that achieve TAFB’s mission and goals.

Plan, implement, and maintain TAFB’s website, ensuring accessibility, SEO, compliance, and strong user experience.

Lead social media strategy by developing content plans that drive engagement.

Execute high quality digital campaigns, including paid advertising.

Produce digital content including photography, video, and graphics using professional cameras and mobile devices, completed on time and within brand standards.

Monitor analytics across digital platforms, evaluate performance, and synthesize insights into improvements.

Research and implement emerging tools, trends, and technologies to keep TAFB innovative, relevant and effective.

Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

Collaborate with the Marketing Director, Graphic Design Manager, and internal teams to ensure consistent campaign integration.

Support crisis communications by executing timely and accurate digital updates.
Additional Duties

Maintain organized systems for digital asset management using appropriate software.

Standardize processes for content creation, scheduling, and reporting.

Utilize project management platforms to plan, track, and complete initiatives on time.

Research and apply best practices in digital marketing to strengthen strategies.

Assist the Marketing Director with digital crisis communication planning and cross-departmental digital needs.

Job Qualifications
Education and Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, digital media, journalism, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

5+ years of progressive experience in digital, website, and social media strategy.

Demonstrated success developing and executing digital campaigns that achieve measurable results.

Experience using project management platforms, with Monday.com preferred.

Proven ability to produce high-quality digital content (photography, video, graphics) using Adobe Creative Suite and professional cameras or mobile devices.
Technical Proficiencies

Design and produce advanced graphics, photography, and video using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro).

Build, code, and optimize websites in WordPress or similar platforms to improve UX, accessibility, SEO, and performance.

Track, analyze, and interpret data with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and SEO tools to measure and refine campaigns.

Plan, schedule, and evaluate content performance across social media platforms using analytics tools such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite.

Develop digital automations and boards in Monday.com (or similar software) to streamline workflows and manage assigned tasks effectively.

Manage and organize digital assets using Canto or similar asset management tools, OneDrive, and server-based storage for document control.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for business communication, documentation, presentation design, and data management.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Primarily office-based, with occasional work in a warehouse or outdoor events.

This position requires extended periods of sitting and frequent repetitive motion for data entry

Regular travel within the 13-county service area; must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance.

Flexibility in work schedule, with occasional early mornings, weekend, and evening availability.
