Manager Finance Operations

A Manager of Finance Operations oversees daily financial processes, blending strategic planning with operational execution to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance, handling budgeting, reporting, cash flow, systems, and team leadership, bridging finance with business operations for profitability. They are crucial for translating financial data into actionable insights, managing P&L, budgets, and improving workflows for better decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Management: Designing, implementing, and optimizing financial systems (like ERPs) and workflows for accounts payable/receivable, payments, and collections.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Preparing financial reports (P&L, budgets, forecasts, MIS), analyzing performance, identifying trends, and assessing risks.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Leading budget development, monitoring, and managing budget allocations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervising accounting/finance teams, training non-finance staff, and ensuring compliance.
  • Strategic Alignment: Providing financial insights to support business goals, often working cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and other departments.
  • Compliance: Ensuring adherence to company policies and financial regulations.
