Position Overview

The HR Operations Manager will lead and optimize the delivery of core HR operational services across the employee lifecycle. This role is responsible for standardizing processes, ensuring compliance, and building scalable HR infrastructure to support Gifthealth’s continued growth. The HR Operations Manager oversees HR data management, systems, analytics, onboarding/offboarding, benefits, and leave programs, while managing a team of HR professionals and partnering cross-functionally to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience. How You’ll Help Us Improve Healthcare

HR Operations Leadership

  • Oversee daily HR operational activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee lifecycle events (hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, etc.).
  • Manage HR processes and policies related to onboarding, offboarding, compliance, and records management.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve HR processes for efficiency, consistency and compliance, while improving the overall employee experience across the lifecycle.
  • Partner with Payroll, IT, and department leaders to ensure smooth execution of HR transactions and cross-functional coordination.
  • Oversee HR vendor relationships and quality management (background checks, benefits, HRIS, contingent staffing agencies, etc.).

Benefits, Leave & Compliance

  • Oversee administration of employee benefits, open enrollment, and vendor management.
  • Manage leave programs including FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leaves, ensuring compliance and consistency.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • In partnership with Safety & Operations, oversee OSHA & Workers Comp compliance
  • Ensure secure management of employee data and confidentiality of HR records.

HR Systems & Technology

  • Serve as system owner and functional lead for HRIS (e.g., Paylocity) and related tools (ATS, LMS, etc.).
  • Lead system integrations and process automation to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with IT and Finance to ensure system alignment and reliable data flows.
  • Support future enhancements to reporting and platform optimization.

HR Data, Analytics & Reporting

  • Develop and deliver HR dashboards and metrics on headcount, turnover, and hiring forecasts.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making through accurate and accessible HR reporting.
  • Partner with Finance to align HR analytics with workforce planning and budgeting models.
  • Assist in the development of scalable workforce insights and predictive analytics.

Workforce Planning & Organizational Design

  • Maintain up-to-date job descriptions, job families, and career path frameworks.
  • Support organizational structure reviews, staffing models, and workforce projections.
  • Ensure alignment of job architecture with compensation structures and growth plans.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage, coach, and develop HR operations staff; oversee workload distribution and professional growth.
  • Build a high-performing HR operations team capable of scaling with company growth.
  • Foster a culture of service excellence, continuous improvement, and accountability within HR operations.
Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.

Experience: 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in an HR leadership role.

Skills:

  • Proven experience managing HR systems (Paylocity, ADP, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance, leave & accommodations, benefits administration, and HR data management.
  • Demonstrated success building or scaling HR processes and systems in a growing organization.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership abilities, with a focus on collaboration and service delivery.
  • Certifications: SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
