Manager HSEQ

  • Enforce client-specific policies and procedures at the project site.
  • Brief labor teams on live area safety protocols before work commencement.
  • Ensure strict compliance with the Permit to Work (PTW) system when operating in live zones.
  • Apply the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedure as per grid in-charge directives.
  • Deliver internal training sessions for workers and staff focused on behavioral safety.
  • Perform inspections of hand and power tools, following tagging protocols outlined in the HSE Plan.
  • Create Job Safety Analyses (JSA) based on the scope of work.
  • Conduct site inductions for all new employees and visitors.
  • Establish and maintain a safe work environment in alignment with the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) plan.
  • Compile and submit monthly and quarterly HSE reports to the client.
  • Ensure full implementation of the company’s EHS policy at the job site.
  • Carry out both scheduled and surprise site inspections to assess HSE implementation and conduct audits to measure safety performance.
  • Design and lead HSE-related training sessions, meetings, and emergency response drills.
  • Ensure all employees adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Guide team members on best practices for workplace safety.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and environmental incidents and document findings.
  • Coordinate regular HSE audits and site inspections, ensuring all corrective actions are completed to meet audit targets.
  • Host weekly HSE meetings involving all site personnel.
  • Implement and maintain strict policies regarding the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Monitor operations to ensure compliance with environmental legal standards.
  • Foster a safety-first culture through ongoing counseling and HSE training programs.
  • Provide continuous support to help resolve and close out HSE-related issues or observations.
  • Recognize potential safety hazards and collaborate with the site execution team for timely resolution.

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within the grid, transmission, or construction industry.
  • NEBOSH IGC certification.
  • IOSH certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
