Manager, Human Resources

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts, including posting roles, sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and supporting hiring decisions.
  • Develop and maintain recruitment strategies to attract diverse, high-quality talent.
  • Oversee onboarding processes to ensure new hires experience a smooth transition into the organization.

Learning & Development

  • Assess training and professional development needs across the organization.
  • Design, coordinate, and evaluate learning and development programs that build skills and advance career growth.
  • Support managers and employees in identifying opportunities for continuous learning.

Performance Management

  • Coordinate the organization’s performance management cycle, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback processes.
  • Train and support managers in providing effective coaching, recognition, and development feedback.
  • Track performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

HR Reporting & Compliance

  • Generate regular HR reports and dashboards (e.g., recruitment metrics, turnover, engagement survey results, training completion).
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with applicable laws and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.

Employee Data Maintenance

  • Process and document employee lifecycle changes, including raises, promotions, and transfers.
  • Manage updates to employee information, such as changes of address, emergency contacts, or employment status.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities across systems to ensure timely activation or deactivation of access and benefits.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS (e.g., UKG Ready) and other internal systems.
  • Partner with payroll, IT, and operations teams to ensure changes are reflected consistently across all platforms.
  • Regularly audit employee data for accuracy and compliance.

Employee Engagement

  • Partner with leadership to develop initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, belonging, and retention.
  • Coordinate employee feedback processes, including engagement surveys and focus groups.
  • Support recognition programs and culture-building activities.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience, with emphasis on recruitment, learning and development, and performance management.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to generate and interpret HR reports and metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster inclusive, engaging, and high-performing workplace cultures.
  • Experience with UKG Ready

Position Summary

The Part-Time Manager, Human Resources will play a key role in building and sustaining an engaged, high-performing workforce. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources and Administrative Services, this position is responsible for leading recruitment, strengthening learning and development initiatives, supporting performance management processes, generating HR-related reports, and driving employee engagement efforts. The Manager, Human Resources will partner with leadership to ensure alignment between people’s practices and organizational goals, while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
