JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Manager, Human Resources (Employee Relations) FLSA STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Director, Human Resources (US)
SUMMARY
The Manager, Human Resources (Employee Relations) position is a strategic HR-Business Partner responsible for functional Human Resources and EHS leadership for the Technical Center campus and the benefit program for all US locations. The position is focused on delivering exemplary customer service to the Technical Center campus in the areas of: HR, EHS, Labor and Employee Relations and to all US locations in the area of benefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Responsibilities include the development, implementation and interpretation of policies and procedures covering all areas of labor / employee relations.
- Responsibilities include ensuring the proper administration of the SPI team-member and salaried handbook.
- Responsibilities include proper administration of all US regulatory / compliance processes and procedures (Ex-EEOC, NLRB, Workers’ Compensation, Leave Administration, and Wage/Hour Administration).
- Responsibilities include proper administration of all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies, procedures, guidelines, programs, auditing, and reporting.
- Responsibilities include proper communication / interpretation of US location benefit offerings.
- Subject matter expert (SME) for HRIS system (Benefits).
- Responsibilities include monitoring statistical trends / HR-EHS analytics relating to absenteeism, turnover, headcount, accident frequency, lost time accident frequency, accident severity, and training for the Technical Center campus.
- Responsibilities include the initiation and implementation of positive employee relations / engagement programs for all US plant locations.
- Special projects as assigned.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Effectively manage HR Specialist(s) (Employee Relations
- Other managerial duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Required: Minimum of five years of Human Resources Management experience
- Required: Bachelors Degree (Human Resources, BBA, or related field)
- Preferred: Master’s Degree (related field)
- Preferred: SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification
- Preferred: Work experience in automotive or manufacturing industry

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position typically does require less than 5% travel.
