MANAGER INFECTION CONTROL

Job Summary:

• Ensure surveillance plan is consistent with selective external and internal comparative data base.
• Collaborate in the integration of pertinent regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, guidelines and current infection control practice standards.
• Facilitate targeted surveillance, identify trends and implement improvement consistent with data analysis.
• Perform risk assessments for specific patient populations.
• Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
• Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.

Education:
Prefer a bachelor's degree in nursing. Must have current state of Alabama RN license.

Experience:
Minimum 7 years' experience in nursing. Knowledge of infection control, OSHA and the Joint Commission requirements. Committee management skills required.

Additional Skills/Abilities:
Must possess a wide degree of creativity and latitude. Performs a variety of complex tasks and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Must be able to effectively communicate with physicians, vendors, community professionals, employees and managers regarding sensitive and often complicated issues.
