Role:
To support the efficient and effective delivery of the DFSA’s risk‑based internal audit programme, providing independent and objective assurance designed to improve the organisation’s governance, risk management, and internal control processes.
The role will also support the continuous improvement of the organisation through the provision of relevant advisory services designed to add value and help to enhance the DFSA’s governance and operations.
The role ensures that all internal audit work conforms to the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Global Internal Audit Standards and contributes to a high‑quality audit function that supports the DFSA in achieving its strategic objectives.
Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor’s degree in in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, Economics, Management, Law, or other related discipline.

A post graduate degree in a similar field would also be considered as an advantage.

Relevant professional qualifications are desirable including: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Evidence of continuing professional education relevant to internal audit, financial services / financial services regulation, and / or risk management.

Whilst this role is open to all nationalities, priority will be given to UAE Nationals.
Minimum Experience:

Minimum of 5 - 7 years of relevant employment experience.

Experience of working in internal audit is essential.

Previous industry experience of financial services and / or financial services regulation is preferred.

Experience within risk advisory of a major professional services firm is desirable.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

Internal Audit experience, including knowledge of core audit techniques such as risk assessment, audit scoping, internal control gap analysis, design adequacy / operating effectiveness controls testing, sampling techniques, report writing, and stakeholder engagement.

Experience maintaining and / or evaluating internal control systems and risk management frameworks.
